Kwonnie started up its business in Hong Kong in 1980 with a 20,000 square feet office in Kwun Tong employing 40 employees. The 650,000 square feet China manufacturing plant in Dongguan was established in 1988 with the beginning of a successful production run in January 1989 benefiting from the more economical production cost and open policy in China.
